বিবিএ-এমবিএ করেছি ফিন্যান্স বিভাগ থেকে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে। সালাম দিয়ে বোর্ডে প্রবেশ করতেই চেয়ারম্যান স্যার বসতে বললেন।

চেয়ারম্যান : কী করেন বর্তমানে?

আমি: বর্তমানে কলেজের প্রভাষক হিসেবে (শিক্ষা ক্যাডারে) কর্মরত আছি।

চেয়ারম্যান : কোন কলেজে?

আমি : মহিপাল সরকারি কলেজ, ফেনী।

চেয়ারম্যান : কততম বিসিএস ছিল সেটা?

আমি : ৩৭তম।

চেয়ারম্যান : হোম ডিস্ট্রিক্ট কোথায়?

আমি : কিশোরগঞ্জ।

এরপর এক্সটার্নাল বরাবর প্রশ্ন করার ইঙ্গিত করলেন।

External 1 : Tell us your choice sequentially.

Myself : Police, Administration, Customs, Economic and so on.

External 1 : You are already in Education cadre. Now you want to be an Assistant Superintendent of Police. Why have you chosen to be a police cadre? Tell me the most significant reason.

Myself : I want to be an ASP because it provides me the opportunity to directly implement government decision, rules and regulations. Also, My father wanted me to become a police cadre in order that I can help people very directly.

External 1 : You know that, police department has image crisis. General people actually don’t want to recognize them to be a friend of them. So, what will you do to make police people friendly?

Myself : I will make police the friend of the oppressed people. Police is the friend and helping hand of common people, I will assure this philosophy as much as I can. Whenever people becomes oppressed, becomes the victim, they come to police in the hope of getting justice. I will ensure their right.

External 1 : Today is 8th March, Women’s Day. The previous day was 7th March, National Historical Day. On 7th March in 1971, how many demanding points had Father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman mentioned in his speech?

Myself : The father of the nation in his historical speech had mentioned 4 points.

Point-1 : Martial law shall be withdrawn. Point 2 : The unjust killing should be brought into trial.

Point 3 : All Pakistani occupation army should go back to barack.

Point 4 : The elected representatives should be given empowerment.

External 1 : What was the duration of his speech?

Myself  : The duration was eighteen minutes.

External 1 : What was the main characteristics of Bangabandhu’s historic 7th March speech?

Myself : It was not written speech. He gave the speech on what was in his mind of his own accord. This speech inspired the whole nation and ultimately acquired independence.

External 1 : Which organization declared Bangabandhu’s speech as world cultural document?

Myself : UNESCO

External 1 : Which world leader’s speech was related to Bangabandhu’s 7th March speech?

Myself  : Martin Luther King

External 1 : What was the name of the speech?

Myself  : I have a dream

External 1 : Bangabandhu’s 7th March speech was related to an American President speech? Who was he?

Myself  : Abraham Lincon

External 1 : What was his speech name?

Myself : Gettysburg Address.

External 2 : Suppose, you are a Superintendent of Police. A woman has come to you for help. She said that she was raped. What will you do?

Myself : I will order the officer in charge to file a case against rapist. And, also, I will immediately send the victim woman to the nearest hospital because she needs medical proof.

External 2 : Have you ever gone to a police station?

Myself : Yes

External 2 : Why?

Myself : I had my police verification of previous 37th education cadre. So, I had to go to my local police station in order to complete the procedure.

External 2 : How did they behave with you? Do you think that it’s friendly behaviour or unfriendly behaviour? When you came to police station for 37th BCS police verification as you told, do they demand pecuniary matters?

Myself : No, they didn’t want such pecuniary matters. They actually treated me in a friendly way.

External 2 : Why mass people are afraid of police? How police treated them?

Myself : Mass people are mostly afraid of police because police unnecessarily want documents, police have unhelpful mentality most of the time. Also, sometimes, police demand illegal money. That’s the main reasons according to me.

External 2 : How will you solve this problem if you go to this profession?

Myself : Police can mitigate the sufferings to a great extent if police want, I believe. I will try my best to create such an environment where people feel free  to deal with police.

External 2 : Today’s World Women’s Day. How do you think, what steps should be taken to stop cruelty against women?

Myself : Sir, I think, before taking steps, it’s our mentality that should be changed. If we change our mentality towards women, cruelty against women can come to zero. We need to show proper respect towards our women...

External 2: What was the Bangabandhu’s strongest point and what was his weakest point?

Myself : Bangabandhu said in a press interview in New York that, “My strongest point is that, I love my people. My weakest point is that, I love them too much.”

External 2 : That’s good.
